Tv Coax Labels on the Rhino 4200

Making labels for cables is easy on the Dymo Rhino 4200 label printer. In fact, this is one of the uses that the 4200 was specifically designed for.

If you’ve ever ended up with a birds nest of cables when putting together your home theatre system, a Rhino 4200 will definitely help to declutter the mess. This artical is about how we created a label that wraps around a TV coax cable. Almost identical steps can be taken to create labels for all kinds of cables.

In our Rhino 4200 we had already loaded a 19mm Yellow label tape (Dymo 45808 D1 label tape). After switching on the label maker we pressed the WIRE/CABLE hot key and scrolled until got to COAX and pressed OK. We then pressed the SIZE hot key until it got to 18pt. Finally we used the keypad to type the text ‘TV’, then pressed the print button.

The label that came out looked like this:

To apply it to the cable you simply stick the part that has no text printed on it on the cable, then wrap the rest of it around the cable.

See the images below for how it ends up looking on the cable.

The Dymo Rhino 4200 is a very affordable label maker from Dymo and takes a wide variety of labels sizes and colors. it uses 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″ and 3/4″ labels from Dymo’s D1 Label range and the Rhino label range.
